The Pagoda Lamp was developed to explore a slightly different 3D printing approach: using a bridging technique to pull features off of the main surfaces. Its circular sibling, the Orbit Lamp, earns its form through the same logic: layered louvers that graduate light upward, a small structural bridge that simultaneously solves a material problem and becomes part of the composition. Inspired by brutalist and high-tech architectural styles as well as stacked forms, these lamps are a departure from the biomorphic shapes we tend to make and some of our new favorites in the collection.
