Wired version. 

Collaborator Christopher Merchant began the design for the Fin lamp and sconce with the simplest possible parameters: the form would fill a rectangular space and use only straight lines to create detail. The triangular “space within a space” emerged directly from these parameters, and became a focal point of the design.

Multi-Dimensional Light

The real magic in the Fin collection comes from the contrast between “on” and “off”. When off, we perceive mainly a rectangular monolith and the simple linear graphic of the fins. When illuminated, the pieces become dimensional: the triangular graphic becomes the unmistakable focal point, and each fin reveals an ombré of color and shadow.
